Since the old repositories were merged into the three new repositories
(unstable, testing and stable), $GITBASEDIR must use the new path for the
client and collect repos, while the clone step becomes unnecessary.

This allows the reinstallation to work even in systems where groupadd(8) and
useradd(8) have no "-f" option.

This garantees that the commands will be found during the installation
process, even if "/usr/sbin" is not in the root's $PATH.
